Let me thank you for visiting our Mobile Disco Section, this is where it all began for Dick Ropa Entertainments, (not Dick Roper Entertainments) over 38 years ago supplying my mobile disco's in Kings Lynn,then mobile disco's in Cambridge,then we offered mobile disco's for hire in Lincolnshire, and it just kept growing!
So what do we have to offer? well most certainly experience! the phrase "Seen it, done it and got the Tee shirt" applies here!

We pride ourselves in ensuring that all our mobile shows have a sound system that is a pleasure to listen to, nothing worse than having to battle with a bad sound for several hours. All our shows also carry a modern light show, important for some, and not for others. Our shows can, if requested keep lighting to a minimum, and also if requested leave that smoke machine in the van! Yes you really are the customer, and it will be you that the DJ's listen to. Maybe the most important factor of any one of the following DJ's they all carry a selection of music for all occasions, every function they attend, they will be able to offer music from the 1950's through to the popular sounds of today, and of course those party favourites.

Most of the Mobile Disco's for hire,also have the capability of including karaoke into their show, this however does need to be booked in advance, and the general rule of the thumb is that it will cost an extra £50.

Well this is where it all began for me, over 38 years ago with a Roadshow called Europa Wheels. But that was then and this is now.

What do I have to offer, well the Roadshow does have possibly the best sound system available, (8 Bose 802's) which will be appreciated by those who appreciate a good clear sound system. My light show is indeed modern, but not in your face, special effects include bubble machines, foam machines (used only when applicable and suitable) and special message lights, which I normally customise every function to display the names of the host(s) and date of function, these revolve round either on the floor or the wall. Smoke or Haze machine? no not normally, I believe they are for the DJ's benefit more than the public.

My firm belief is that a party is normally a social gathering, hence my first part of the night whilst the guests are still arriving will normally consist of low volume background music that people will be able to chat over easily, without the need to shout or raise their voices. I am able to offer all kinds of music from ballroom classics and Old Time singalongs through the decades, to the chart songs of today.

My favourite type of function is indeed a "Party Night", with music for all, if you want games, then great, I know loads, and love to entertain with them, both adults and children. Microphone chat? hey I have loads, I love to interact, so if your idea is a DJ who keeps quiet then please I am not your man!

I really enjoy the job I do, and I really enjoy entertaining. Once I have " Kicked Off" I am only happy and content if I am either entertaining with games or the dance floor is buzzing, and that is what I promise to try and achieve throughout the booking, so if you can offer the type of function where we can all party together, have a laugh together, and listen and dance to popular tunes then please feel free to contact me. My fees are not the cheapest, possibly the most expensive in Norfolk, but I believe the value is there and worth paying that little bit extra to ensure that all the other costs which you have incurred on organising your event are not wasted. Remember the disco normally makes or breaks a function it normally covers the majority of the event.

The following prices are based on a 4 hour playing time (terminating at midnight or earlier), and all exclude December.

Not in need of a DJ but just a complete disco set up for your event? Here is the answer as we can offer complete disco packages with all the equipment and accessories you will need from sound, lighting, cables & even simple instructions so even the unexperienced can do it! We can offer different packages ranging in size and complexity which we refer to as Bronze, Silver or Gold. A Bronze setup is ideal if you just want music to be played and the lighting effects to work their magic on their own, with all you needing to do is put the CD's on. Simple! The top Gold package is for those who want to go at it themselves and become the DJ for the night, using all the equipment that you would expect our own DJ's to be using. It is also however larger than the other packages, by which i mean more powerful speakers & amplifiers which may be needed for larger events and functions. To be honest I am the youngest member of the team, I started taking my first mobile Disco Roadshow out in the year 2001, although have always been involved in the disco environment with my fathers business, due to this hands on involvement I like to think that I may possibly have more knowledge on what will ensure a good night out than many other DJ's in Norfolk.

So what can I offer? well I promise not to blow you away with too much volume, and I do enjoy playing music from the 50's through the decades to the popular chart sounds of the present, I can even provide you with the odd quickstep, waltz etc if that's what any of your guests ask for., so yes I can cater for most tastes. I have also learnt that a good disco requires more than just a good selection of music people will dance to. I therefore, with my team member Jason and Christian, try to offer entertainment value, so you will find our tongue in cheek "take offs" from some of the stars of the past, like Abba, Supremes, Blue Brothers, Cher, as the photo's show Michael Jackson, John Travolta, plus many more are an addition to your nights entertainment. These impressions do not stop the dancing but just purely offer an additional visual and entertainment aspect to the show.

Children's parties, yes that's okay they can also be catered for, just supply me with some prizes to give away, a small break in the middle for the children to have a snack or drink, so that they can cool down a bit! and then you can just sit back and let me entertain them for a 2 hour show of games and dancing.

To put it all in a nutshell for you, why book Jack Ropa's Disco? Well you almost certainly will not have to ask me to turn it down, but if you do I will! The music I will play for you will be music that you really can dance to, and with songs and tunes you will know, and I'll try my best to entertain all of your guests. My goal for the night will be for you to both be impressed, and thankful that you did choose the Jak Ropa Disco.

Video Music Night.

The night really is your night, you tell us, prior to the date the style of music you want, or alternatively the years you want to hear the music from and hey presto the night is yours. Great sounds projected on to a large video screen, non stop music for all to dance to, or music to listen to.....even the volume will be in your control, remember the choice is yours, get up and dance or background...but all with a visual bonus. Dance or chat or 50/50, Country Western, rock, 60's 70's 80's 90's, Motown, Soul or maybe just a dedication night, yes how about a night with Michael Jackson? or Tina Turner? Just ask us , and we can let you know what we can offer, which is almost anything!

So what do you get, well the operator will be there operating from start to finish, just as a DJ would...but....no chat.... yes a DJ who says nothing !!!!! wow. However a microphone will be there for all announcements speeches etc.

Visually far more entertaining than a band, as many of the videos have been specifically chosen for their video entertainment value, so no not just the band playing, but much more. Plus it is a complete package, no breaks required.

How much would a night like this cost? well here is the surprise...not a lot !! based on a 4 hour programme in and around Kings Lynn.

5. What if guests do not turn up?
Through experience, the majority of guests always arrive from half an hour to an hour late. Do not worry

Hi My name is Ian, and I am now the DJ behind the mobile disco show " Disco Inferno"

A little about myself then, plus why I think you should consider myself to provide you with a night of music and dancing on your party night.

Well I started off helping the Disco called the Dave Charles Roadshow about 14 years ago, since then I have assisted several good quality Roadshows and Disc Jockeys, like Nick Brittan, Jak Ropa the Motivation and IBA disco to name but a few. I would like to think that I have therefore been made aware of DJ's various different styles and approaches when doing a " disco night" and have subsequently picked out what I consider to be their best individual practices and put them all in together in my own show.

So let me take the strain out of entertaining your guests, I am able to offer a good variation of music, all for dancing, plus you can grab yourself a bargain by booking me! Why? well although as I have stated I have had 14 years of being in the mobile disco trade I only started doing my own show in 2004, and so I am a bargain price until the name " Disco Inferno" with DJ Ian gets known.

Like all the shows that come from the Dick Ropa stable you can be sure of a nice light and sound system, with all the confidence that your DJ will turn up on the night, will be on time, will be smart, will not have a " gang" of bodies tagging along, and will not play the music that the DJ wants to listen to and will have the support and backup that we can all enjoy from Dick Ropa Entertainments.

I am a DJ with over 18 years experience entertaining people of all ages, including members of the Royal family as well wedding parties for television celebrities. My collection of music is extensive and includes music from the 50's up to today's present chart hits, from Rock & Roll to R&B to Dance Club and Party. So whether its a special Birthday, Engagement, Wedding, Anniversary, Home Coming Prom Night, or a works function we cover them all.

Welcome to the world of Melody Music

Hi there my Name is Tim and I have been involved in the world of entertainment from the age of 11.

Started of with ballroom dancing reaching medal standard to world championships in 1981 for Disco dance and from there as a solo dancer for my own national award winning roadshow.

Current projects are Internet Radio and promoting Indie & Unsigned artists from around 200 plus countries. My own record label is to be launched later this year bringing forth our second album release Around the World in 60 minutes Vol 2.

All bookings and funds of the Melody Road-Show are donated to helping Indie and unsigned artists receive radio airplay and promotion Locally, Nationally and Internationally. I have so far managed to give 10,000 artists radio airplay.

I caterer for all ages young children to Senior Adults

Types of functions range from infant schools to high society balls to large outside carnivals. Military, Navy, R.A.F and Colleges. Birthdays, Weddings and the list goes on.

I carry with me a vast selection of music and a showman style presentation that will have your guests up and out on the dance floor. Music Library goes as far back as 1920 to present day as I am an avid collector of music.

Keeping the music volume to your desired level the show can be with or without fun and games depending on your booking requirements.

Special songs of meaning for you on the night can be made when booking the show

Weddings Extra services: The show can be set up before you arrive from the church and background music played whilst you and your guests are eating. This makes way for no disturbances during the reception and lets you relax and enjoy your day knowing that everything is already in place.

Distance: I have travelled nationally with my show so distance will affect the booking price but willing to cover all of the UK.

Great lightshow and special effects with extremely clear sound and a DJ presenter you can clearly hear and understand, you will be all set for a wonderful night to remember.

And now for something completely different...........Music only from the 1920's; 1930's; 1940's; 1950's; and 1960's. You choose the years you want the music from and that is exactly what you will get.

Nostalgia at its best, those great old songs of yesterday all digitally remastered and played in a CD format at the volume you request. For once dancing is not the main theme, although of course it can be if you wish, but those lovely stars and bands of yesterday singing and playing a diverse range and style of music from the swinging sounds of the 20's through the sounds of Jazz, the Big Bands of the 30's and 40's and of course those good old sing-along songs that accompanied so many people during the dark years of the second world war, through to the early sounds of Rock and Roll and the Swinging Sixties.

What do you get then from the Memory Lane Music Show?, well besides the music, you will notice that there are no flashing or projected lights to get in your eyes, this show is just a "music" show. A rare chance to go back and listen to those songs as they were sung by the original artistes. I can if you require also make this night into both a fun and entertaining night, using both wit and fun from behind the microphone.... a "Terry Wogan" type presentation! A quiz can be thrown in if you would like us to and we can provide all the necessary bits and pieces for it.
The night of of golden oldie entertainment available for hire can also begin it's first hour or so with not only the sounds of the decades gone by, but also with a video show as well, so not only hear, but see those stars of yesterday, yes the famous Mills Brothers, Artie Shaw, Stan Kenton etc bought back on large screen entertainment. Maybe it's a WW2 night that you wish to commemorate let us play those good old war songs you can sing along to, and listen to those original war broadcasts relayed at the time, yes a complete package is available, we hope a package that will suit your needs....please ask.

So if it's a themed night requiring music from yesterday that you are organising then we are the ones to book. You can if you like pick as many decades as you want your night to cover, alternatively if it's just a Big Band sound you are looking for so that you can take to the "chalked floor" for Ballroom Dancing with a waltz, quickstep, foxtrot etc to then yes we can provide you with not one big band but almost all of them, from Glen Miller to Victor Sylvester and back to Benny Goodman and his orchestra, or how about Billy Cotton? wow see the list is endless.

The sound system used is indeed one of the best you can have and it is also reasonably small allowing for us to fit into a really small room if required, yet also loud enough to fill a large arena if required.
